Nope

Didn't get the job. Never mind. Bit gutted but there you go. Got some good positive feedback from the interview.

Got another interview on Monday so at least I can concentrate on that. Also there's another recruitment job going in the paper this week so can go for that as well.

Only two weeks to go till I leave the current stupid job. Can't wait. Just hope I can find something else in time.

It's funny, if I were in a position to, I'd offer you a job in an instant. Good people are vital to a business, and it's been clear to me for a while that you'd be an asset at any place you worked.

Good luck convincing others of that :)

Somewhat amusingly, one of the negatives cited for the interview for the job I just failed to get was that I'd told my current employer I was looking for another job.

I've learned my lesson and will never do that again, but it seems quite funny to me that I could fail an interview because I tried to be ethical.

Need to lie about what happened at any future interviews.

Did they tell you why it was bad to inform your employer of your intentions? From an employers point of view, I would have thought that it would be a good thing, it would help you plan for the departure, and train a new person if necessary.
