Layered perlin noise in GIMP is really useful for creating rock-like textures.
I'm continuing to work on the user interface. Most of the day was spent fixing some resource management stuff, but I did manage to work on some graphics and the text widget.

Looks cool, is the 3d model a picture or are you rendering in that small square? Or to a texture and then using that?

Its part of an old screenshot mapped onto an image widget. I was considering doing a 3D view widget for inventory items, but I think a nice 2D painting would look better. There'll be enough 3D in the game itself. Thanks for the comment.
