Well, this week I have been looking into buying a laptop. I can't make up my mind though, I partially want a gaming laptop to be a desktop replacement (since my computer currently is only an AMD 1.4 ghz).

Or I can just get a cheaper laptop for programming and build a decent gaming rig :)

I have been looking at Alienware ($3,200), Voodoo ($4,800), Falcon NW ($4,200), and Dell ($3,000) for the gaming laptop. All way too expensive.

I did find a fairly nice gaming laptop from Acer - the Ferrari 3200 (<$2000). Not sure if I want a red laptop, but it has a lot of nice features: Athlon 64 2800+, 15.0" SXGA+ TFT, RADEON 9700 128, 512MB, 80GB, DVD Super Multi, WLAN, WinXP Pro.

Ugh, too many decisions...
