Jason Z

Well, I have been pretty as busy as I have ever been lately. My wife and I had our second daughter, and I haven't had much time to do anything since then. It has been a great and rewarding few weeks, but I am pretty much exhausted...

Plus I am finishing up an article for an upcoming shader programming book, which I am devoting all of my extra time to since I want it to be the best that I can possibly do. I am happy with my progress thus far, and will be finished up within one week (due to the deadline) so after that I'll be getting back to posting regularly.

As I mentioned before, I have been looking into OpenGL for some of my other projects. I was happily surprised to find out that all versions of windows come with a software implementation of OGL v1.1, which is great for not requiring a new install in addition to my program (as DX would require a separate install). It widens the customer base quite a bit, especially for corporate customers who won't always have the latest drivers/video cards on hand. More on this one later on...

Congratulations, Jason! Glad that you're still keeping us somewhat in the loop, and another congratulations on getting the opportunity to write an article for (this unnamed? :P) book. Let us know how things turn out.

Everyone: Thank you for the congrats!

HopeDagger: It's an article based shader programming book, and will appear in the sixth iteration (PM me if you still don't know [grin]!). I am bursting at the seems to talk about it, but I'm not sure what the NDA is all about - as soon as I can I'll post a little bit about it.
