Plus I am finishing up an article for an upcoming shader programming book, which I am devoting all of my extra time to since I want it to be the best that I can possibly do. I am happy with my progress thus far, and will be finished up within one week (due to the deadline) so after that I'll be getting back to posting regularly.
As I mentioned before, I have been looking into OpenGL for some of my other projects. I was happily surprised to find out that all versions of windows come with a software implementation of OGL v1.1, which is great for not requiring a new install in addition to my program (as DX would require a separate install). It widens the customer base quite a bit, especially for corporate customers who won't always have the latest drivers/video cards on hand. More on this one later on...
