What a twist!

My original plan for my big game project was to create a horizontal scrolling shmup. However, I've decided just to convert "Captain Ace" into a level based vertical shmup instead. It wasn't really working as a Galaga clone, but it was going great as the beginning of a vertical shmup, so I figure I'll run with it. So yeah, there will be boss battles now, and lots and lots of shooting.

To start, I cleaned up the game code and started using my gamestate manager in the game. I have to program the enemies to spawn at specific parts of the level rather than randomly, which is how they currently spawn. The game's levels will probably be hard-coded into the game, like my MAGIC entry, simply because I find it to be easier in this case.

Anyway, I should have more Captain Ace news soon.
