Book reading

I finally managed to pick up "OpenGL Game Programming", and it is so great.. the one problem I have with it is the math section, and that's only because I don't understand trigonometry yet... but that will change next semester.

A day or so before this, I attempted quaternions to fix gimbal lock I had in a spinning cube. I'm _never_ going back to those until I understand what's going on in there, cause right now, my head is /still/ pounding!

EDIT: Aww, the Hex and Celestial timecounters at the bottom of the page are gone...

The beautiful thing about quaternions is that, given a suitably well-constructed library or class for using them, you don't really need to understand them. I've been using them for years; I have only the foggiest notion how they really work. [grin]
