I'm still working on the inner systems of SuperRPG! I've got a really simple design written out; I'm going to code that and build a game on it. Once that is finished, I'm going to update and modify the code until it fits what I want.
So, I've been planning on proposing to Cierra for the last couple weeks, it was just a matter of getting the money to buy the ring (I've been waiting for my tax refund to do so.) I talked with my mom and she ended up buying me the ring the day before yesterday and I proposed late last night (early this morning some time) and luckily I got a yes. We're not going to set a date until we get settled down really (get a place of our own and such.) Just wanted to share the good news with you guys.

Congratulations!
Must be the time of the year where ppl think of proposing :) In fact, I'm currently setting up a "little surprise" for the women I'm with since 16 years. 15th of february is the day of truth...

Yeesh, isn't that kinda quick? Maybe it just didn't make it to the blog, but it seems like you've only been dating for a few months; never mind actually living together to find out all the nuances that come along with a person when you live with them.
Maybe I'm just the forum curmudgeon...
(ps. congratulations and all if it works out. Finding a dedicated life partner is the best thing someone can accomplish. From experience, dedicating yourself when it won't work out is one of the most painful, wasteful things someone can do. Since 40-50% fail, I think perhaps people should be extra careful in making the choice that will effect their emotional well-being for the majority of their adult life...)

I understand your concern. While we've only been officially living together for about the past month, we've barely spent a day apart since we started hanging out (I either stayed at her house or she stayed at my house and we spent the entire day together unless we were working.) I still understand what you're saying.
Thanks for the congrats though!

Yeah. Me and the ex-wife spent every day together for about 2 years before getting engaged and that still didn't work out in the long run... *shrug*. Best of luck.

Holy... Shit... You crazy bastage! ;)
I'm going to have to go with Telastyn on this one. It's never good, or needed, to rush -anything-. And IIR, you all haven't been together long enough to find out who either one of you really are!
But hey. Live and learn. The words that people tell you never hit you until it actually happens.
I wish you all the best! Meg and I will be getting married next July! Woo!
