XP and VistaSo I've been setting up my laptop to dual boot XP and Vista, and I have to say that it hasn't been the easiest thing to do. First XP didn't want to let me resize it's partition, then I used GParted to do it and hosed the whole installation anyways. So I ended up manually partitioning the HD, installing XP first (with all the drivers and such) and am in the process of installing Vista now. Hopefully that will the be end of the installation blues - I'm ready to get on to my next writing project, which requires DX10.1!

Course ProjectThanks to those that posted in my last entry about the class project. I have decided on one of two options:

1. A 3D Object Scanner (inspired by posts from last time). This will make a true 3D manifold of an object and transmit the result to a PC.

2. Making a mouse free input system with a small CMOS camera. The user will more or less wave his hands around to produce input to a PC.

I am equally interested in both, so we'll see which one the group picks (if either of them, each group member submits two ideas and we collectively pick the best one...). They both are computer graphics related, so I'm happy if either one gets picked!

Sounds pretty ambitious to me, but I'm sure you've got the know-how!
