(WSRP = WebServices for Remote Portlets)
It's the most annoying thing ever, and the whole idea behind it is retarded:
Quote:Hey! I have an idea, let's make a protocol just like HTTP, but with a vert limited featureset, and made things 3 times more annoying, then, we should wrap the requests for this new protocol in webservices, and the webservices are of course wrapped in an XML, and then send the XML using HTTP requests, so the other side will have to get the HTTP request, get the XML out of it and parse it, then deserialise it into webservices objects, then wend it to the WSRP engine, which will read the webservices and interpret them as half-assed-http requests, then do the server-side processing, then roll the response back the same way again and send it back for the other side to unwrap the 50 levels of abstraction
