Got blending between two different animations working now in the test application.
HERE'S A SHORT VIDEO of the system in action if anyone is interested (WMV in a zip file). It shows my model being smoothly blended between three daft little animations I did in Milkshape.
The only slight complication was the fact that I have to store a temporary frame based on the currently interpolated frame at the point at which the animation change request happens.
Next thing to start thinking about is multiple animations on the same model (e.g. legs running, arms waving etc). Not too sure what the best way to do this is yet as I don't have any experience of using such a system in a real game, which never helps.
