Now I can continue with game play related stuff and I thought I would kick it of by doing a small survey:
If you would play a game where you can run around in an isometric level with different heights, what control scheme would you prefer?
A) Point and click style, like Diablo.
B) Cursor keys + key for jumping.
Post a comment of your choice. A thing to consider when choosing is the ability to walk underneath stairs (such the one in the video clip) and the ability to jump over holes and obstacles.
Both control schemes have their advantages. I think the Diablo control style is a bit more casual and does not involve as much reflexes as the cursor keys would need. The cursor keys on the other hand gives a lot more action and control of the character but might be harder for non gamers to get used to.
Thanks for reading!
With point and click the different levels problem could easily be solved by having another key (alt or shift or something) toggle between upper and lower levels under the mouse cursor.
