Some more behaviors
Now there is both separation and cohesion steering behaviors in place, so basically the ships follow the player, move as a group but without colliding with each other. Their movement is still very jittery and "moth-like" and I've experimented with angular physics to keep them from spinning so much. Obviously there's tons of calibration to do but thats a long term issue. The next step is to implement alignment behavior, and get to whats described as flocking in the Reynolds article.
I also like to see how much smoother new behaviors can be added now that a solid framework is in place.
