I was going to order the Snow Leopard disc from Amazon, but it was only $26??? Is this only an upgrade or the full version? I couldn't find anything that stated either or. $26 feels so cheap compared to Microsoft...
I am also downloading the program that will allow me to install Snow Leopard on my PC, that is supposed to take until Friday as well (torrents).
So, hopefully I will be Triple booting by the end of the weekend. Now, if I could only have all three open at the same time (one on each monitor) - that would be cool :)
That is the reason I use virtual machines rather than booting multiple operating systems. My main system is Snow Leopard and then I use VMWare Fusion 3 with XP, Win7, and Ubuntu virtual machines. Mostly I only have the Win7 VM running but I've had three up a few times with one on each monitor.
Regarding Snow Leopard that is the actual full version as there is no separate upgrade disc. The reason they can sell it so cheap is because it is basically always an upgrade as it can only run on their hardware. Of course yes there are hacks to make it run on the PC and depending on the chipset and specs even run decent, but it is an infraction against the software EULA. So really even though it is a stand alone full version it is seen as an upgrade to their products.
