I got the animation system in place and I've upgraded my rendering library to support flipping textures horizontally and vertically. So, I implemented my AnimatedMapObject class and tested it out using some placeholder sprites. Really hard to show via a plain screenshot, but it's all I have at the moment, so it'll have to do:

My todo list is getting smaller, but I still have a lot to do before I can start working on the actual game:
* Map Object Types    PickupMapObject    EventMapObject    CharacterMapObject* Object Controller Types    KeyboardController    AIController* Player data (score, lives, weapons, etc)* Whatever is needed for shooting* Whatever is needed for melee attacks* Map data (scripts, objects, gravity, etc)
