Open Source Flash Project

So I would like to start an open source flash game project... (or projects).

I've been writing flash games for a while now, and I think it's about time I started contributing some open source code.

Here are my potential projects:

1.) Flash RPG (Old School SNES style)
2.) Flash Strategy Game ( Something like what I have on turnbasedstrategy.com, but more generic)
3.) Flash Side Scroller

Looking for opinions as to what the best Flash / Actionscript open source project would be best to start on. Of course if someone has an idea of a better project I would love to hear about it.

Thanks,
Rick

I'm not a flash guy at all, but I think defining what it is that you are trying to get out of having an open source project may help you decide where you want to go. What are your motivations? Are you trying to start something more people will want to jump in on and become a part of? Are you trying to create something to help others learn? Defining that here may also help others give you suggestions.

Well, I'm primarily looking for something that will be used. It would be nice to get something that others may have some interest in using.

I know I wish there were more open source flash projects out there... but maybe that's just me

So if anyone is out there who likes writing flash games and has any interest, that's what I'll be blogging about, so any input on the project would be appreciated. If no one is interested I'm going to do it anyway... for fun ;-)

3D is cool, but I'm more interested in something that is focused on the mechanics of a genre of game.

I would definitely like to add Multiplayer using Flash Cirrus (formerly stratus)

Right now I'm leaning heavily towards a side scroller / platformer type game.
