The graphics are pretty low res, are you scaling them up at run-time to get the "retro look" or are they saved in the size that can be seen above? I have been thinking about developing a scaled up pixel game myself.

Your viewport into the games is 128 x 128 pixels

The gui is 160x32
The gui is essentially squished to fit in the players screen
Then all of that is stretched to fit your screen
