Project Updates

  • Journal of Suspense - Suspense realizes his smaller projects need to start becoming the stepping stones towards the larger game vision that he holds
  • WorldAlpha.com DevBlog - worldalpha has some graphic art from the game showing off some icons and food groups used in the economy. There may also still be some time to enter in the latest contest ending tonight. The team has also began working on the military aspect of the game
  • et1337 makes games - et1337 has released the second alpha demo for Lemma along with a gameplay video
  • Journal of Lee Stripp - Lee Stripp has a brief update with some new images on tangents and lighting for vortxGE
  • Pixel ? Tile ? World logo+%20bullet.png - Servant of the Lord announces the officialhttp://members.gamedev.net/gaiiden/logo+%20bullet.png title for his AdventureFar project, Of Stranger Flames, as well as the game's website as well as his personal developer website
  • RuinValor - Birth of Talos - riuthamus has a video of the logo animation for the company that will be producing RuinValor and is looking for feedback
  • SIC Games' Journal logo+%20bullet.png - SIC Games has a new video showing off his game's WYSIWYG editor's real-time shader update ability
  • Portas Aurora: Arrival Development - Navyman and team have been busy over the week with Portas Aurora: Arrival, adding some more GUI changes and updates to the game
  • Beals Software logo+%20bullet.png - Programmer16 has some updated images and information on the progress of the editor for his click-adventure SAGE engine
  • Black-Rook's Journal - Black-Rook is done playing around with Guild Wars 2 and back to working on his project, which he has revised goals on for his latest task list and includes a new screen shot
  • Project NN - RetroIP goes into what defines an "entity" in his 3D AI sandbox game and how they will be interacting with each other and the world
  • Coding In Transit - Dancin_Fool hs new screenshots and new information detailing the project he is currently working on
  • Bluefirehawk's: "Project Phoenix" - Bluefirehawk talks about the "real time fight" aspect of his game, which applies to both the RPG and strategy aspects
  • Archer Alec Devlog - HabitueGames has some new images and video detailing the game's new trap system as well as some other news on updates
  • Chronicles of the Hieroglyph logo+%20bullet.png - Jason Z has been working on implementing generalized geometry handling for the Hieroglyph 3 engine, and talks about the success he's had so far as well as some screenshots of the system in action

    Game Dev Stuffs

    • Good Enough?.... Never! logo+%20bullet.png - MARS_999 has just bought C++ Primer (5th Edition) off Amazon so if you're wondering if it's a decent book maybe he'll tell you if you ask nicely. Or maybe he won't.
    • Horror Stories of RanBlade logo+%20bullet.png - RanBlade shares a debug story that reminds us all that even the simplest things can trip you up and lose you hours of development time if you're not careful. Like arithmetic.
    • Portas Aurora: Arrival Development - Navyman shares a list of the sites and forums that have been giving their project some press if you're also developing an RPG-style game these sites might help get word out about your game as well
    • kseh's blog - kseh stumbles across some old notes detaling ideas and stuff from before he even began work on his current game project, which has helped him realized how much his vision has changed in the time since and how important it is to recoginize that this is an important aspect of game development
    • Merry Prankster Games - gdunbar talks about his game's original pathfinding algorithm and why he needed to change it
