Test level image

Right, let's try a slightly more interesting journal entry than the last one, shall we?
One with something more than just boring text?

This piece of level test art is mainly for my own use as a testbed for implementing my various mechanics and effects. Obviously, a final product will look way better than this (as this is just a rough sketch), but it might be interesting to look at regardless.

As some sort of status update, I'm currently working towards a somewhat decent (hopefully!) prototype of my game's main game mechanics and effects. .Details coming in future journal entries.

Enjoy!

Looking pretty nice. Its like a single scene or a top down view of a bigger place?

This is a scaled-down version of the image I'm actually using (which is 4096 instead of 1024).

This would be part of a level, with multiple images per level (the paths in this image connecting to diffierent images/parts in the same level), and 7 planned levels/themes. The exploring/travelling part would be in this type of perspective.

I wouldn't mind playing a game with art like this to be honest, I like it :)

Sadly, I'm not an artist. Future journal entries might have some of my very own programmer art in it -- you'll know it when it happens!

A co-worker (which I might end up working with for this project), drew this :)
