Finally, we have modelled and textured 30 different creatures (previous goal was 20 models). We need to add the basic animation to them now, but first off here is something to show off.

First off, the judge, a model done and textures by me.

Here's an ogre, modelled and textured by Georg.

I would really love to show all the models, but I don't to spoil to much, therefor an overview of all creatures, but only the silhouette biggrin.png

Nice. What sort of game are you making, how big a team and what's the high over planning?

I'm loving the silhouettes.

Out of curiosity, how long does it usually take you to make a single model? I'm doing the same sort of thing right now, but at snail-pace.

Thx, we are two people, this is just a hobby-sparetime project. The game is (currently ;) ) a dungeon building/god game. It reminds of dungeon keeper with an influence of dwarf fortress.

The trick is, that you have a solid base of some models, after that, I need ~6-8 hours to model and texture a new model by recombining and modifying existing models. And you need practise to keep a clean model base and recombine model parts (edge-loop, keep a clean topology, cutting up models, restructure them etc.) So, I start with a snail-pace too, but with time you will get a lot faster :)
