Prepwork:

Mostly we have been working to solidify the team. I got the slack setup and have been working to get everybody in and on the chat system. We have also setup the repo and ensured everybody has access. One of the coders had to bone up on some unity stuff since he had not developed in it for some time. That said, our weapons of choice are:

Unity 5.x - Core engine
Maya LTE - Models
3Dcoat - Texture/Normals
Photoshop CC - Textures/UI work

To keep in line with the "theme" since we said "F*** that" last year, we are going to hold off on coming up with any grand ideas until tonight when the theme is released. We want to win this thing this year and to do that we need to hit all the points.

Thoughts:

This week is going to be crazy busy. My life in the Navy has been full of work and with the release of RuinValor pending the stress has only increased. However, despite these things I want to try and get somethig out for this competition since we had so much fun last year. Some of the old members will not be able to take part in this one since they are busy with real life. No matter we will endure!!

I am excited for the theme and the new changes. The prize pool seems to have grown which makes it more attractive. More people means more interesting things to go through. I remember going through all of the last games and thought "Damn, this is a lot of quality work".
