Last day of Week of Awesome. Stayed up until 4 AM finishing up the project as best as we could. As expected we had serious set backs because of college and stuff. Justin was not able to build everything as we had planned, so we were forced to look into outside assets. Justin did a great job with the cows and the turret. We were getting desperate until finally we found the light.

I have to thank kenney for releasing his asset packs to the public. His 3D nature pack turned out to be a huge life saver, so much that I ended up donating to his website. I encourage everyone to look into this website, you might find something really useful.

Other assets and music were taken from opengameart.org also a great website for resources.

The project in general turned out really well, and it was a fun week, even with the set backs and everything, I plan on to make some improvements to it, hopefully is just some stuff here and there. One thing I really want to fix is the resolution and the presentation of menus and credits screen. Add some small effects during the game as well as some other details.

I want to thank everyone for this contest and I hope you all had as much fun as we did.

Score was 179 (actually 600+ once I remembered the right click) last I checked, lasted a bit after that but there's no loss screen to show my final score :(

I didn't read the part on holding left to shoot, and kept clicking the first time around. Game was really really hard that way, and sometimes the turret wouldn't shoot.

The explanation screen was easy to understand (even if I don't read/ remember well).

I didn't like that the cows exploded the same way when hitting the planet as the do when shot, it's satisfying for a player to know when they shot the enemy at the last second, and not just be left wondering if they got them or not.

A side note, I noticed that the cows spawn the same way after you use right click, maybe put some randoms in there :P

I thank you very much for your review. There were many things that unfortunately were left out of the game because of time constrains due to college and other things (the lose screen was one of them :( ). For instance, we wanted to have the power bar play a cool sound effect as well as a small animation (think final fantasy when the limit break bar is full).

The explosions when the cows hit the player are slightly different from the ones when the player kills them, I realize now that they are too similar, just played the game and I got them confused myself.

Randomization was supposed to be in there, but it broke and the last minute and we had no enemies spawning, it was already Sunday 4AM and we were exhausted because of the week :(.

We are still working on it, fixing stuff here and there. Adding details and the stuff we wanted in a more calm manner. Performance improvements need to be done as well. There is still a lot to do to be honest.
