Mobile Game Reviews: Let's Talk Gladiator Heroes

In this daily blog-series I talk about and debate the best mobile games that I come by. Be sure to share your favorite mobile game with the rest of us in the comments below!

Gladiator Heroes is a turn-based strategy game where the (rather difficult) gladiator battles mostly play out on their own (you have to activate skills, though) and the majority of the game is about micro-managing your gladiators, leveling them up, healing them after battles, acquiring new gladiators etc. instead.

There are no ads in the game (except a non-pushy incentivized video ad after winning a battle), and while you can buy gems through in-app purchases, the game is generous with rewarding you gems just for playing (chests with gems spawn randomly on the game map from time to time). A rather fair monetization compared to other mobile games.

The only downside to the game is that it will make you wait for... EVERYTHING! Wait for building to upgrade, gladiators to level up, heal, and much more! In the end, however, if you're looking for a game to play in quick 5-minute sessions at a time, this game is actually rather fun.
