Random game mode and options

Just a little post that I have uploaded new version of my frogger game (011) on my project page, there is now a random game mode, and options where you can change difficulty, full screen toggle, and sound and music volume, and an as yet untested MacOSX version.

The fullscreen toggle may be a bit dodgy, it works a couple of times on my linux PC but then has some graphic corruption, I don't know whether that is a Godot problem or graphics drivers.

Adding random gamemode and difficulty took a lot of playtesting. Difficulty mostly changes the speed of the enemies, but there are some other effects too. When you get real good you can play on max difficulty, make sure to have lots of caffeine before this.

Nice Job,

I played it so far for about a half hour on normal preset difficulty.  I got stuck on level 6, those two dastardly flies I had to try and catch.. where were they?  Oh look over their playing in traffic, by random fluke I caught one and my moral was restored and level six was finally going down.  I made a break for it, 7,8,9 collecting all the lives I could to try and extend this run for the almighty victory but alas level 13 took my last two lives.

That was a lot of fun, I might even finish it one day.

Haha yep I might revisit the 'normal' mode, I did think about increasing the number of flies on level 6, but was reluctant, it is satisfying to complete a difficult bit, I don't want to have it easy all the way through. They are in fact easy to get you just need to be patient, wait in the middle row between the road and river, then go to the row below when the snake comes. Keep in this area and eventually the flies will come there and you will complete. Maybe I'll add one more fly.

The flies fly towards random destinations on the level, and only move towards ground level when they are getting towards their destination, and you can only eat them when they are low enough in the sky. You can see this better on the closeup camera view. I've had it suggested I should have an animated tongue come out but didn't have time for this, it might be a bag of worms.

If you got to level 13 you very nearly finished, I think there are now 15 in the normal game in the current build.

I have thought about adding another section to the game where you are on a lilypad and have to row across screen instead of the normal movement, or maybe controlling a jetski or something with some water physics.

Ok just for you Rutin, given that the customer is always right, I've upped the number of flies flying round on level 6 from 2 to 4, you still have to get 2 but it should be easier. I tried it at 6 and it wasn't challenging at all so hopefully this will be middle ground. :)

Thanks! It's only easy for you because you have the developer console while playing! :D RNG hates me on that level, dang flies always scatter on me, or go down on parts I'm not at.
