Project: Leaf

Three Weeks Later

This week the weather has been much more amenable, but unfortunately not too much visible progress has been made. I rewrote some engine internals to allow a much better representation of GL uniform buffer objects. Moving platforms and simple elevators were also added, which proved much more frustrating to implement than I ever expected. I also started work on a new tileset, though I haven't completed it yet -- I'm still unsure about the colouring choices, and will definitely have to expand it a lot still. Finally, just yesterday I cobbled together a specification for a dialogue markup that should allow branches, choices, and all manner of things that I expect I'll need.

In the coming week I'll work on putting that specification into practise, adding other physics objects like water, and if time permits, adding environmental effects. In any case, the daily development streams will continue for the next week as well. I hope to see you in chat some time!

      Greetings!

Chaotic-neutral, rogue designer is looking for a merry companions to form a fellowship during game-development journey.
He has a concept for a TCG and an urge to release it.
Currently the project is in a paper-prototype-testing-tweaking stage.
There is no concrete schedule since there are some opened questions regarding core mechanics...
Game's IP is more-less-fantasy-with-mighty-dragons and OFC is totally a very-original-game-changing-idea... totally!
      ...with dwarfs!
      ...and dragons!
So if you are keen to take this challenge and you have lvl 6+ skills in (and/or):
      Drawing (much much wanted)
      Coding (much wanted)
      Design (wanted)
you may want to post some details about your interest in this project.
This long-and-dangerous journey begins in Cambridge, UK.

      Best regards,
      V

The Riverine design looking like a snake didn’t work very well with the animation so we re-designed this creature to look more like a colourful caterpillar type of animal.

Your Alien always gets transported to the last teleporter that was used. If you find it hard to find the nearest one while exploring, consider buying the ”Teleporter scanner” upgrade from the customization screen.

Hey! My name is Victor, I have been programming in Unity, with C# for about 6 months now. I have done a couple of games for my own, never released one, but I would like to start now, and I have been thinking about getting a small team together, or just another person that does the graphic part, to release a game every month or so. Obviously this is just a hobby or something that we would do on our free time but I would like to have serious people that wants to be involved in the project. If anyone is interested or wants to have more information just send me a private message or reply to this topic and I will contact you. Thanks for your time!

I'm a designer newbie looking to team up with other fellow newbies to create an Elder Scrolls inspired RPG called Ogera: Land of Shadows. Someone who can work with either 2D or 3D graphics and knows a program called Stencyl or Godot is a plus.
