back and stuff

So, I just came back from AnimeUSA, an anime convention held about fifteen miles outside of Washington DC.

Good thing: saw a new anime in one of the screening rooms that I'll definately pick up when it's released in R1: Maria-sama ga Miteru.

Bad thing: the people who signed up to do game industry panels didn't even show up.

Worse thing: the last minute replacement didn't even show up for the "state of the video game industry" panel, so they needed a replacement for the replacement.

Good thing: met with some online comic artists who turned out to be some really cool people.

Good thing: one free anime in a contest. Really easy trivia question too: name four Gonzo titles.

Bad thing: I got practically nothing productive done

Overall: glad I went, but it wasn't as much fun as, for example, Las Vegas. I might just stick to anime cons in my area in the future. OR I might go to that con in Vegas next year. Mmm. Gambling, alcohol and anime. Mmm.
