yesterday (until this morning) was held the first german game developer award. I was nominated but unfortunately I didn't win... would have been too nice.

Have met some old friends at the party (i.e. the guys who made Settler 5, Soldner, Spellforce, some german EA guys), met some I have never talked to (Far Cry) and had a lot of fun playing the games in the entertainment area.

And finally I spent some hours with all those guys in the VIP lounge being served by some really nice looking woman and having fun watching the crowd dance on the dancefloor just under the vip lounge... We had some "deep insights" of the girls who danced downstairs, if you understand what I mean ;)

Talked to some guys about the TBS engine and finally decided that I'll try my luck next year at the german games convention in Leipzig.

Because I had a long ride back home (two hours), I left the party at 3 o'clock in the morning and finally hit my bed at 5:15... I managed to sleep 4 hours before my daughter came in with a loud "DAAAAAAADDDYYYYY"... Sometimes it's very hard to tell whether it's fun having children or hell...
