Okay, the look's much improved. At least it doesn't look like the default.




I liked Pat's comments about D in his diary. I too took a close look at D and think that it is a Good Thing. It's still C++ for the most part, but jettisons much of the fat and steals some of the good stuff from Java. I never was able to wrap myself around Java, because it seemed to jettison too much, and because it seemed to miss that "something" that was needed to make it great for apps. It was always a little too slow, and the GUI libraries were always a little too bloated, etc. Let's face it, how do you think an MS Office clone written in Java would look and perform? Dunno how D will tackle this issue, but it seems like it's got a better shot than Java.
