All good things. . .

I read with sadness that Al Stevens is, after 15 years, shuttering his "C Programming" column in Dr. Dobb's Journal. Through the years DDJ has gone through ups and downs, but Stevens' column was always a great constant, an informative and conversational column on C programming. Al's now 60 and is going to spend the rest of his days on his other passion, jazz piano.

He's also got the distinction of being the only programming tutorial-writer who's book has gone through SEVEN editions (link) :)

Happy piano-playing, Al!
