I just (well, a few hours ago) got back from a concert titled "A Touch of Frost" by the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra and a HUGE choir (over 350 people from something like 6 local choirs combined for this performance) and it was awesome.
You haven't heard christmas songs until you've heard them perfomed by a symphony orchestra acompanied by a choir of over 350 people (plus the audiance in a few cases) and it was truly awe inspiring.
Not only is the local talent great, but there were a few prestegious guests from around the country that added a lot to make the whole show simply amazing.
I just heard about it on the radio and thought it would be nice (because I love classical) and decided it'd make a nice gift for my mother (since her bday was only a few days before the performance and it sounded like it'd be fun even for those that don't like classical as much) so I took the whole family. They liked it so much that we've decided to a yearly tradition of attending at least their christmas concert. I, liking classical more, might buy a season ticket for myself for the next season.
