No, I'm not telling you why it was important to me to be able to render a 2D sprite so it cast proper shadows, reflected properly, etc. I had a crazy time trying to get that texture to behave (it's just one quad with a decal, not a grid of squares). The reason I did that will become apparent much later in time. [smile] The two images I posted in past entries are now using the GDNet webspace instead of Photobucket ... thanks to the Tancz'!
I also started a small PHP/MySQL-driven website as I said. Most of yesterday was spent watching Fahrenheit 9/11 and Spider-Man 2 though. F911 didn't tell me much I didn't already know; thanks to Mithrandir's threads in the Lounge most of that was old news to me. [wink] Spider-Man 2 was great though.
Finally, click here to check out a kick-ass 3D fighting game made with Allegro and OpenGL. I didn't even know about this game until yesterday but it looks awesome, especially for a two-man project. You must try it.
Back to t3h c0dign ...
Shadow on the cube seems a bit odd, though. Big shadow heading off to the left, suggesting a light off the right corner of the pic, but the right-facing cube face is dark.
BTW, what on earth is this spinning icon-thing punctuating this message? It looks like a fork, but I'm not sure.
