I basicaly have my exams finished, one last paper on Monday and I'll be off for christmas. I didn't get any work done on the engine/game, if I'd started coding I wouldn't have gotten any study done.

I did manage to write an article though. It was a short article for beginners on creating/using state stacks in games. Its a fairly easy topic but one that I've seen asked in the Beginners forum every now and then. I sent it off to writers@gamedev.net on Sunday. No reply yet, but I'll give them a few more days before I follow it up.

I'm just have to finish off the sound code in my engine and then I'll get down to work on the game. I might have that done tonight, but definitely by tomorrow evening.
