One step back, two steps forward

Well, I decided to rewrite an older module of the entity instancing system. Took the last two days, but the end result is much faster, and much cleaner. There is also a bit of work I want to revisit in the entity definitions component before I can stamp this section as complete. I am still working out the details of the mesh and material system with Sages; we have some excellent ideas for an extremely flexible data-driven material system, but we need to decide if integrating it into the editor at this point is practical.

That's it for now, some screenshots should follow within the next few days.

Your entity instancing system looks good! I'll be working on something like this myself very soon. I'd be interested in hearing more about your material system.
