First of all, thanks for the feedback about the nebulaes. I think i'm gonna try to keep the alpha blending look, but increasing the details and contrasts of the nebulae. Not sure yet what will come up from this.

Today, while playing with my nebulae colors/densities, i generated a nice image that looks like a volumetric explosion. It occured to me that the code i'm currently writing can be used later to generate some animations of explosions, like those you can see in Command & Conquer: Generals (i liked a lot all the particle effects in that game). Here is a screenshot:
