I've been away for the last few days, which is half of the reason I haven't posted over the last while. The other half is that I've been a bit lazy (read semi-comatose) for the last while. No idea why though I like to blame school, probably unfarely. Whenever I land myself in the doldrums I really just stay there untill I make the conscious decision to get back to work.

Anyway, I'm back now. Got the guard loading code in this evening. The guard rendering code will take as long as a copy/paste takes. Then I'll start throwing in the pathfinding code.

While I was away I finally got around to reading Design Patterns. I've had it for a while and I've been flicking through it, but this is the first time I sat down to read it from cover to cover. Its a great book - its given me so many idea on how to improve the structure of my engine, especially in the GUI department. If you're designing any kind of OO system I strongly recommend this book.
