Now this begs the question: what if the candy depicted insects that had gone splat on a person's windshield?

Nobody ever argues for insect rights.

Back in the day where DDT was the big problem, nobody ever said "we shouldn't use it because it is cruel to insects", they only ever mentioned the birds and how their eggshells kept getting thinner.

I bite the heads off too. And if anyone is watching I like to give the thing a little personality before I chomp it's head off. The kids love it! Let's make little human baby shaped crackers and see if that does the trick. I bet the animal rights groups won't complain over that! Where my wife works, they are currently under attack for having pets in cages. Why aren't these people protesting the millions of humans in cages right now! This is all so absurd.
