School computers suck!

I have about 2 hours down time between classes, so I thought i'd download OGRE here and play with it. Wrong move! It appears that the computers in the CSCI lab basically suck. I got it all up and running, but the performance is terrible, and the quality isn't good. I suppose it's to be expected, the card on this particular computer is 32 MB, and probably isn't that great anyway. This isn't afterall a graphics research lab [wink]. I just thought i'd put a couple of shots up contrasting the differences in OGRE on different hardware, since I don't have much more at home other than the shots I posted earlier. The main limiting factor on this setup really is the graphics card, because otherwise it's pretty good performance wise.

Just for reference, the specs for the machine i'm on right now are as follows:

Running Windows 2000
Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz
512 MB (unsure if it's DDR, but I assume so)
And according to the little config box when you run OGRE, it's a 32MB ATI Rage 128 Ultra.
