First entry in jounral, Signed up 4 days ago for the 1 month package although I meant to sign up for the 3 month one...Anyway, would have gotten GDNET+ a long time ago if only to support the site but was a bit weary of paypal. The recent Papypal thread helped to get over that but the real incentive was how cool everyone's journal is. Also the mental organizational resulting from ordering of one's thought for input in an e-journal should improve my productivity.

I do wonder though, is the subscription recurring automatically or must one remember to renew? What happens to the journal if one forgets to do so, if it is infact non-recurring?

As far as subscriptions go, I believe that they do in fact auto subscribe for your next Month/Period. If you would wish to cancel such a subscription, I believe that you may do that within Paypal.

You also need to tell us about yourself, and make up a cool Journal title that I can steal.

Hope you enjoy your time here!

Allo mate!!

Wow, that was a fast reply!! I wonder if there is a way to change the package though... anyways not to worry, only losing £1 on the recurring monthly versus quarterly anyway.

Will do, just learning the ropes now.

Paypal doesn't really have a great solution to upgrading subscriptions. What I would recommend is simply cancelling the 1 month account and purchasing a longer period of time. Cancelling really doesn't take effect on our site until 5 days after your regular subscription period to give some grace time.

If you were to renew for 3 months then your 3 months would start effectively immediately, having the effect of losing a few days worth of service. But at a few bucks per month anyway it's not really killing anyone. I have internet on my cell phone for that price and never use it.. which reminds me that I should probably drop that. =P

Our next development project will have quite a few GDNet+ exclusive features when it's released.. but I can't talk about when that will be. All I can say, is that I personally find it to be one of the coolest things we've ever undertaken. =)
