So I'd like to get a new laptop sometime in the near future.

I have a Sager, I hate it. I lug it to the GDC and it's a pain in the ass. It eats battery power like a hog, and it's actually very hot to touch after an hour of use.

I'm looking for:

* Something light, but with a big screen
* Something that won't burn my fingers off
* Something that will last for a long time on one charging (4 hours?)
* PC compatibility is a must

Things I don't need:
* A fast processor. While I will play games on it, I probably won't be playing anything more complex than Popcap stuff, or if I do, it will probably be an older game (3+ years old)
* Large/fast hard drive

Any reccomendations would be great. Thanks.

Requests 1 and 3 put you in the realm of the IBM Thinkpad X-series. Check it out, it's worth the cash.

You may even be able to find a used one on eBay.

I have a Sager. Waste of money if you ask me, but I didn't pay for it. It can run on its battery for one hour if I'm lucky and usually by then it'll turn itself off if it doesn't get the right ventilation. I can't wait until I can get another laptop.

Check for seller name "IBM" on ebay. Basically IBM sells off some obsolete/refurbished stuff on ebay, and they've got some good deals if you're not looking for the latest stuff. We bought a ThinkPad there about three years ago, and it's worked just fine ever since. It's definitely not the latest and fastest, but It's perfect for running MS Office and web browsing.
