The BGP website is down again, which is frustrating. I was planning on letting the other programmers there have a look at the Stompy source code so they could add whatever features they feel like. Personally, I want to move on to other projects like Uber Asteroids. Although I am currently working on Uber Asteroids, Stompy still takes up the majority of my programming time.

I plan to do another project with them for many reasons. With Stompy, the sprites were always top-notch and they always worked quickly and in an organized way. This was very nice. Now hopefully, we can work on a side-scrolling platform game, which was my origional idea.

With Stompy, I developed a method of handling game objects that worked out quite well. I had one abstract base game object class, which all other objects are derived from. Now the obvious next step is to take advantage of polymorphism. The fact that all the objects consist of mostly the same methods which are virtual leads to many possible applications of polymorphism. I'll probably make a more detailed explanation of what I'm talking about in my next entry, but for right now, I'm just tired.

On a completely unrelated note, you ever notice how DragonBall Z completely rips off Rocky?
