A new version of the Minas Tirith model viewer is available here.

Note that due to bandwidth problems, we have decided to split the viewer into 2 versions: a private (complete) version, and a public one. You can only download the public one on the website. The screenshot above is from the private version (which is approximately 2 times more detailed). The polycount averages 4 millions now.

This journal is to noaktree's as Pepsi is to Coke. Here is the visual rival of his work (comment has no basis on actual extensiveness of underlying architecture i.e. demo vs. applicable engine). When my eyes are depressed I come here to look at stuff when noaktree has nothing new. And vice versa.

PS - will your procedural universe engine be open source?

Too cool. Is there any way to get the private version?

Wow, thanks for the comments. Gives me some motivation to find a bug i've been tracking for 2 hours in my GL code state manager (a texture is not bound correctly).

Daerax: it will have a custom license (free for non commercial project, non free for commercial ones).

Neoforce: sending you a PM now.

I was just thinking, if you have bandwidth issue why not just post your demo on sites such as sourceforge?
