I may have been a little too quick to try and port the game to SDL. The structure of the program revolves alot around Allegro's design, so it would probably require almost a complete rewrite. I mine as well try to fix whatever bug is currently going on with the game.

I think you should use SDL to make the "Stompy: RPG", featuring a completely unique battle system where you must make game-altering decisions between using a speadshot or a quickshot, not to mention a staggering 40+ hours of gameplay. Or "Stompy Tactics", which no doubt would spawn a huge cult following!

None. No, really, none at all. In actuallity, I love Stompy, and an RPG/Tactics game based off of Stompy would be incredible, although entirely unfeasible.

Yeah, Stompy and RPG don't mix, Although I did try to make a text one once in javascript.

Glad you like Stompy, BTW.

It's great! When I need a way to occupy 5 - 15 minutes of my time sometimes I'll just play stompy for a while. I think my high score is only somewhere in the vacinity of 2500 points. I'm working on 5000. What kind of improvements/sequels/whatevers are you planning on for the future of stompy?

The sequal will be called Stompy War, and will include scrolling maps and veichles. The same basic game concept still applies, though.

This would also be a good time to learn the value of seperating API and game code.

Yes, yes it would. To be completely honest though, most of the code was pretty API independent. I was just too lazy to rewrite my CApp class, which is by far the largest part of code.

Oh well...
