Need more time!

Blastoids is finally out at version 1.0 . I added a bunch of sounds as well as found a bunch of bugs that needed fixing. It would be great to get bosses and enemy ships flying around so that I could play with AI, but I just don't have the time now between eating, sleep and biking. Sorry about that lack of updates, I'll try to do better next time...

I've been biking for about three hours everyday now, going around downtown and along the bike path. Figured I might as well get some physical activity during the summer along with everyone else who's running/swimming/dancing/etc. It also keeps me away from the computer, which I think is a good thing.

Gage Transition to Independent Living hired me and I'm suppose to start in a week or two. I'll be taking care of disabled people while they learn to live on their own. I was hoping for something in the computer field, but I think this will be pretty neat and the pay is pretty good too. The people seem pretty awesome and I've done this sort of thing before. Hopefully it doesn't get too hectic when I accidently throw one of the kids out the window.

Well, I should be off. So long everyone, I shall post again sometime.

Nice job! I enjoyed the game, and thought the mouse controls worked well. Although, I wasn't able to type my name in at the end for the high score.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but the screen shot of your asteroids looks really cool. Did you use sprites, or is this a 3D model?

Biking kicks ass. Actually, I'm going to go for a bike ride right now thanks to your journal update.

For some reason, I read "biking" as "blinking". Weird.

Defintely loved the feel to the controls in the game. The powerups were great and the music was pretty sweet too. Just like stompy though, I couldn't add my name to the highscores list at the end.

And biking?! I don't go outside, there's bears out there.

The lack of a good text box is an issue. It's because the GUI system works on having objects active. If the object isn't active then you can't type anything in that "text box". There's also the issue of having too many characters in the text box. I guess that's why when you type something in, it doesn't show up. The problem is that I assumed everyone would press backspace first...

I'll fix that up right now (kind of [smile])..... Try it now. What do you think of that solution?

Nice work, I've always been a big asteroids fan.

The mouse controls were a little strange at first, but once I got used to them I liked it better than the keyboard, so manuverable :).

It's been kind of weird since Sasuke went to the Dark Side of the Chakra [smile].
