I just submitted some feedback requests on the current version of Epoch Star to all of my favorite game developer sites.

Here are all my current feedback requests:
Indie Gamer
IGDA
Game Dev

I'm not sure how this recent batch will go, but in general the feedback I've been getting has been steadily improving as my game becomes more and more developed. Here are all the feedback posts I could dig up. Some of them are rather embarrassing. Especially the one where some guy claimed my graphics made his eyes bleed. Hopefully the current batch won't have any quite so critical.

Here's a list of my old feedback requests:

If you just got some better models and textures, it would be pretty damn amazing.

It worked okay for me. Probably would've been better if I read the directions, but it looked okay.

Some of the lighting effects were a bit garish.

The little backstory windows got a little tedious. If I wanna read, I'll get a book. If I wanna blow up spaceships, I'll play a game. Never the twain shall meet.

Nope, not good enough. If I skip the text, I'll just be worried that I missed something important and won't be able to play the game.

If the text is really so unimportant that you can skip it without affecting the game, that's a sign that you don't need it at all.

I would disagree... my inspiration for this game is SC2. In SC2, you don't really have to read the text until your about half way through the game. Basically, there's a story to the game, but if you just want to shoot crap, you can ignore it. Diablo and Diablo 2 are kind of the same way. A movie like the Matrix or Star Wars (first trilogy) are also kind of like this. If you want to pay attention to the story line you get something out of it that you don't get if you're just watching the movie to see stuff blow up. This is my philosophy on gaming. A good story can improve the game, but it shouldn't be necessary for those who are just playing to blow stuff up.
