I'm very encouraged by some of my early results using Ultimate Unwrap 3D. Hopefully with a little more effort I'll get pretty good with this thing.

Been following your development for a while, looking good.

However i find your space background absolutely ugly - you really need to get ride of it. Your choice of colors is also horrible IMO. The nebula/galaxy photos are doing more bad than good. Finally i think your spaceships/stations/asteroids would look much better with some basic lighting and mipmapping.

I actually dropped the nebula from my game in version 0.52.01. This screen shot was taken from my ship tester, which still has it. At the moment, I haven't been keeping the ship tester up to date because it does everything I need it to do, and no one else seems interested in it.

I'm not sure mip maping will really buy me much. I think my problem right now is that my ships aren't textured very well. I've tried various lighting models, and most of them just seem to make my low poly count seem much more obvious.
