Oh yeah, I also spent a deal of time reworking some core components, they were irritating me immensely so I decided to restructure things to avoid potential code spaghetti later on.
I got the console working nicely. The only thing that remains is to actually echo the input to the virtual console window. I can see it in stdout, but it needs to be seen in OpenGL for great justice. Tomorrow I'm going to code up the keybinding relay (assign keys to events) and hunt down a nice GUI system to use (or perhaps just use my own basic elements, my game isn't that complex).
