Just picked up a new digital camera. Initially was only going to get something pretty inexpensive, in the ballpark of $200 or so, and while I still didn't exactly go top end I ended up dropping about $500 (minus a bit for some last leftover giftcards I used up) on a 7.2 MP sony DSC-W7, some batteries, and a 256MB memory card. Now, time to start adding some new stock to my texture source library; that means photos of dirt, grass, rocks, trees, etc... Need to start taking some pics of the sights and scenery here in AZ to send to my family as well. But first...

Scared ya, didn't I. [grin]

Yikes! That rendering looks almost life-like!! [grin] I got a camera a few weeks back for the exact same thing - my inlaws think I'm a little nutty because I keep taking photos of their lawn furniture.

Hehe. I know the feeling. My sister caught me standing on a 3 foot ladder one day, taking a picture of the dirt and grass of her lawn. She just turned around and walked away, didn't even give me a chance to explain.
