My dog was killed by a waffle. Or it had one for breakfast. I dunno, my memory is pretty dodgy these days.

That's a pretty violent waffle boolean. You should punish it by putting it in the toaster - that'll put it in its place. Then, to further avenge your dog, you can humiliate that waffle but putting syrup and fresh fruit on top of it. Perhaps even whipped cream.
