A handy tip

I went to see someone a couple of nights ago. I asked her, "Should I bring anything?" She said, "No chocolate." She said this because on previous visits I had brought her chocolate. I feel it's necessary to explain that because otherwise you wouldn't understand why she'd said it. I still don't understand why she said it but at least it has relevance now.

So anyway.

I miscalculated bus times and ended up at the bus stop with twenty minutes to spare. So, I went and bought chocolate anyway, and stored it in my bag.

We had a great time together and then her brother drove us back over to my house. On the way I asked her if she regretted telling me not to bring chocolate. She said "No... well, yes..." So I gave her the chocolate with the admission that I'd brought some in case she changed her mind. This provoked delighted squeals.

I am terming this concept "eleventh hour chocolate," but not because it was between 11pm and midnight.

Nice move...but remember the same doesn't apply if she says "Stop!" [grin]
