Ok, which one was done by Johnny, and which one by me? There are several ways to cheat to find out, but if you want to post a reply, please just take a guess.

I think jonny did the bottom, but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't read your earlier posts. Yours seem to have pods on spindle like struts, where his have tended to have a central structure with complements(like wings, etc).

What I think is interesting about the models, is that the ones I've liked to model recenly are based on a drawing he made... and the ones he's been modeling have been based on a model that I did a while ago that I ditched because I couldn't get it to look right.

But yes... the lower one is Johnny's, I'm not sure I like the base texture on mine... it looks a little too rock like for that ship.

Yeah, the texture looks organic, while the ship looks like it should be metallic.

I tend to agree... but I wanted to go to bed last night, so I left it as it was. I'll probably go to a steel look I'm guessing.

The top one needs some serious rustproofing.

[lol]yeah, I'm about to post a texture that has a more steel like look... It's been a while since you've harassed me John... I'm not worth your time any more [sad]

An anisotropic brushed steel shader would look could probably but it depends if you have tangents in your models and whether it would be visible and worth it [grin]
